Job summary

M.E.S.O., Inc. is seeking a Shop Equipment Mechanic to support construction and industrial equipment customers across the Southeast. This role emphasizes precise repairs, diagnostics, and safe, dependable service from a hands-on technician.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of field experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diagnostic tools and schematics, while maintaining safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background across engine types, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and a solid understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Ownership of tools applicable to the position.
• Strong teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to safe, superior customer service as a top priority.
• High school diploma and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical.
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across equipment.
• Use independent judgment to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Complete accurate service documentation as needed.
• Order parts from vendors as required to complete repairs.
• Provide safe, superior customer service on every job.
