Job summary

CoorsTek in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Sr. Team Lead- Shipping to oversee a team operating complex equipment, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain safety and quality standards.

You will coach staff, manage performance reviews, hiring and disciplinary actions, coordinate with production planners, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring accurate timekeeping and adherence to work instructions. The role also involves mentoring, data tracking of workflow, and implementing cost-saving ideas

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four (4) years of relevant leadership and manufacturing experience.
• Ability to provide and receive verbal and written instructions; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of workers using complex equipment in an assigned area.
• Lead a collaborative team to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Act as working supervisor including performance reviews, hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Direct work of operators to meet production schedules and quality/ delivery requirements.
• Communicate human capital and overtime needs and production challenges to leadership.
• Maintain production data and identify trends for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production planner on workflow and scheduling.
• Provide timely feedback on development and conduct of employees.
• Train employees on work instructions, processes, and policies.
• Approve employee time records in a timely manner.
• Operate and set up complex manufacturing equipment per work instructions.
• Inspect parts for defects and adjust processes as needed.
• Gather improvement ideas and implement as directed.
