Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Alpharetta, GA to coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and maintain inventory accuracy. You will work with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted operations.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus. Physical duties include occasional lifting and operating warehouse equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory support preferred.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP) a plus.
• Ability to read/interpret shipping documentation and follow procedures.
• Forklift operation may be needed per site policies.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound shipments.
• Receive, inspect, and distribute materials for production needs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts and audits.
• Coordinate material movement across warehouse, production, and logistics teams.
• Track shipping and receiving performance metrics and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality procedures.
• Support process improvements for on-time delivery.
• Maintain documentation using business systems and Microsoft Office.
