Job summary

Clearlake Shipping is seeking a Sr. Shipping Operator to manage pre-fixture and post-fixture activities for MR, LR1, LR2, Aframax, VLCC and Bitumen shipments. You will optimize voyages, monitor vessel movements, and ensure compliance with international and local rules, while leading the shipping team.

Experience in time and voyage charter operations, bunkering, and dispute resolution is essential. Strong cost control, stakeholder management, and actionable planning are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operational experience in shipping.
• Hands-on with Time & Voyage Charter operations.
• Strong exposure to incident management and claims.
• Cost control initiatives and performance programs.
• Ability to manage complex voyages across regions and cargo types.
• Regulatory compliance with IMO/MARPOL/SOLAS.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-fixture and post-fixture of commercial operations for multiple vessel types.
• Voyage optimization and performance analysis; monitor movement, weather routing, and speed.
• Post-fixtures: ensure information in systems and preparation of freight documents.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentor the shipping team; ensure SOP compliance.
• Serve as point of contact with customers, traders, and regulators; mitigate risks.
