DigiKey Electronics is seeking a Senior Shipping Associate - Exceptions to join our on-site team in Minnesota. You will process global customer orders, resolve order exceptions, and prepare shipments for same-day dispatch. Regular attendance is required, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 a.m.

to 1:30 p.m. Role emphasizes troubleshooting, use of carrier software (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL EasyShip), and collaboration across Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Accounts

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills.
• Able to think critically and come to a resolution while leveraging systems/tools and working across business units.
• Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently; collaborate with peers and leaders as needed to resolve issues.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot and handle errors on all orders that do not auto post or require invoices or additional steps.
• Be proficient with carrier software such as FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL EasyShip and process orders correctly.
• Read order notes and determine the next processing step.
• Liaise between Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounts Receivable, and PDC to meet customer requirements.
• Manually enter dimensions/weights and post orders that do not fit belt systems or palletize.
• Re-palletize, wrap, and band products as needed.
• Ensure truck logs are completed and shipping documents uploaded; coordinate with other departments for corrections.
• Provide carrier support by keeping shipping cages clear and moving pallets as needed.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment.

Product Distribution Roles

• Full-Time Day Shift - $21.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Full-Time Evening/Overnight Shift - $24.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $3.00 shift differential)
• Full-Time 3-12 Shift - $23.34 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $2.34 allowance for the 36 for 40 schedule)
• Part-Time - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Seasonal Day Shift - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
• Seasonal Evening Shift - $23.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $3.00 shift differential)

Relocation and Sign-On bonuses available for specific full-time product distribution roles.

Position Overview

The Senior Shipping Associate - Exceptions is responsible for processing global customer orders, ensuring final steps for accurate delivery is complete and all orders are provided to the carriers for same day shipping. This role specializes in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving order exceptions and system errors.

This is an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and handle errors on all orders that do not auto post or that need invoices or additional steps to be completed
• Well-versed in carrier specific software programs such as: Fed Ex Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL EasyShip, and show a demonstrated ability to process orders correctly
• Read order notes and make the best determination of the next step in processing the order
• Serve as a courteous and effective liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Accounts Receivable, and PDC in meeting customer requirements
• Manually enter dimensions, weights, and posting of orders that do not fit on the belt system (large and oversized/non-conveyable products) or items that ship out palletized.
• Complete re-palletization, wrapping, and/or banding of product when necessary
• Ensure truck logs are completed, upload necessary shipping documents, and collaborate with other departments for possible corrections
• Perform carrier support by keeping the shipping cages clear including remove boxes to place on pallets and emptying the shipping cages to avoid belt congestion; move cages to applicable carrier
• Operate pallet jacks, pallet jack scale, PIV/forklift, stand on pallet jack, part mover, and pallet wrapping machine

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
• Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete
• Regularly lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Ability to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level

Pallet Shipping

• Use of pallet jack up to 60 lbs. with heavier packages requiring team lift
• Use of PIV equipment ( Cushman cart, Electric Pallet jack, Stand on Pallet jack and Fort lift)

Compensation

The starting base pay rate for this position is:

$20.00

This position may also be eligible for shift, skill, and/or team lead pay differentials that will be in addition to the starting pay rate.
