Job summary

Princess Cruises in Miami is seeking an experienced Ship Superintendent to provide technical support, oversee maintenance budgets, and coordinate dry-dock projects. The role requires 5–7 years of licensed afloat experience, preferably as a second engineer or senior electrician on AC Diesel-Electric vessels.

Strong project management, communication, and data analytics skills are essential. The position is hybrid, based in our Miami office, with travel 25–50% and responsibilities across Fleet

Qualifications

• Valid maritime engineering license required.
• 5–7 years of proven experience overseeing technical operations and maintenance for vessels, including dry-dock/wet-dock planning.
• Experience interpreting regulatory standards from classification societies and flag states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vessel technical repair and maintenance activities, including AMOS-planned maintenance and documentation.
• Plan and manage dry-dock and wet-dock repairs, including detailed specifications and coordination with shipyards.
• Manage the technical maintenance budget and collaborate with finance and supply chain for cost-effective procurement.
• Ensure compliance with Global HESS and SMS standards, renew certifications, and respond to audits and incidents.
