Job summary

Qualifications

• Former Navy Surface Ship Commanding Officer with at least 3 years in command
• 2 years training and assessment experience using full mission or part task bridge simulators
• USCG Train the Trainer program per IMO Model Course 6.09
• Experience with CSC COVE, TRANSAS or KONGSBERG bridge simulators preferred
• USCG Master’s license any gross ton, oceans

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assessment in NSS subjects using COVE bridge simulators and classrooms
• Deliver training to prospective officers and ship handling personnel
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure safety, standards, and maritime education best practices are followed
