Job summary

Westhab is seeking a Senior Shift Supervisor for our White Plains location to oversee client care monitors and shift teams within the Housing and Services – Security department. The role requires coordinating schedules, overseeing security operations, and guiding staff through drills and incidents.

The position reports to the Security Manager and offers a salary range of $40,000–$50,000 with full-time employment, with flexibility to respond to emergencies and coordinate across locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public transportation systems is recommended.
• Must be flexible on days and hours of availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and training to Client Care Monitors and Shift Supervisors.
• Create weekly staff schedules and a master schedule.
• Establish an overtime assignment system for fair staffing.
• Maintain security office and traffic intervention requirements.
• Assist Facility Manager with fire drills and emergencies.
• Perform rounds for surveillance of interior and exterior areas.
• Respond to requests for assistance from Shift Supervisors.
• Complete incident reports, CPS reports and logs.
• Monitor front desk security and reception area daily.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Enforce drug-free workplace and no smoking rules.
• Attend and conduct meetings and training sessions.
• Back-up Security Manager as directed.
• Check inventory of equipment daily.
• Lead in emergencies within security department.
• Fulfil duties of Client Care Monitor as needed.
• Monitor QA programs like Tourtrax and GPSInsight.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide supervision and training to Client Care Monitors, and Shift Supervisors to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
• Create weekly staff schedules and maintain a master staff schedule according to changing staffing patterns
• Create an overtime assignment system to ensure fairness and the efficient use of staff resources.
• Maintain level of expectation of requirements for security office and traffic intervention.
• Assist Facility Manager, preparing and executing fire drills (as well as fires) or in other cases.
• Make rounds randomly through the facility (interior and exterior) for surveillance of hazardous situations,
• Respond by phone or in person to request for assistance form Shift Supervisors at other locations.
• Complete assigned paperwork responsibilities (i.e. Log, incident reports, CPS reports and all other reports)
• Monitor reception area and security at front desk area daily.
• Maintain safety and security of clients and staff.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Enforce drug free workplace policy and no smoking rules.
• Attend and conduct various meetings and training’s as needed.
• Back-up Security Manager as directed.
• Check inventory of equipment daily.
• Provided leadership in emergency situations within the security department.
• Fulfills all job responsibilities of a Client Care Monitor.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
• Monitors electronic quality assurance programs, such as Tourtrax and GPSInsight applications.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
