Job summary

Samaritan Daytop Village is hiring an Operations Coordinator II to supervise shifts, ensure safety, and manage program activities. You will monitor the shelter environment, enforce schedules, and lead Shift Supervisors as needed.

Required FDNY F-80 Fire Safety certification with willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and NYC Food Handler's certificates. Prior DHS-related leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• At least one year in a Shift Supervisor/House Manager role in shelter or similar.
• Must have FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Safety & Alarm Systems.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and NYC Food Handler's certificates.
• Experience working with diverse populations and city-operated programs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise facility to ensure cleanliness, security, and safety.
• Oversee therapeutic environment and maintain positive relationships.
• Conduct fire and safety runs following health guidelines.
• Review client escorts and appointment attendance for shifts.
• Monitor daily schedule to ensure events run on time.
• Complete required trainings and certifications (CPR/First Aid/F-80).
• Lead Shift Supervisors when needed and ensure schedule adherence.
