Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering in the United States is seeking a Sr. Designer to produce design layouts and finished drawings for custom projects, including field surveys, design sketches, engineering support, and final drawings. The role requires coordinating and checking all drawings for accuracy and error-free results to support safe and compliant fabrication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accredited drafting or design training preferred
• 4+ years of related tank, vessel or fabrication experience required
• Advanced AutoCAD and/or Inventor knowledge preferred
• Strong understanding of vessels, structural drafting disciplines
• General understanding of fabrication, purchasing, and field construction
• Able to understand and use general math and trig functions
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Familiar with API, AISC, ASME codes and standards

• Performs dimensional and bill of material checks and ensures design compliance
• Performs additional responsibilities as directed
