Job summary

Roseville Precision is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to turn customer drawings into efficient, repeatable sheet metal manufacturing processes at our Rocklin, CA facility. The role emphasizes hands-on SolidWorks modeling, fab process development, and close collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, and customers.

This is not an entry-level position and requires on-site work. The candidate will design fixtures, tooling, and routings, support fabrication equipment, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in precision sheet metal fabrication or related engineering role.
• Hands-on SolidWorks 3D modeling including sheet metal parts and flat patterns.
• Ability to read drawings and turn them into manufacturable processes.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and purchase orders for manufacturability.
• Develop efficient manufacturing methods for precision sheet metal parts and assemblies.
• Create and modify SolidWorks 3D models, sheet metal parts, flat patterns, assemblies, and drawings.
• Generate and verify flat patterns with bend deductions and material properties.
• Develop routings and determine operation sequences for each job.
• Create work instructions, material requirements, and production documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and customers to resolve issues.
