Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group is seeking a Sheet Metal Leader to guide our field crews on commercial HVAC ductwork projects from Berryville, VA. This hands-on role drives safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating with Superintendents, Foremen and Project Managers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of sheet metal experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid read of construction drawings. Travel within the region is required; OSHA 10 mandatory, OSHA 30 preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience.
• Experience leading sheet metal crews in field leadership roles.
• Ability to manage 10-15 employees and coordinate daily tasks.
• Knowledge of Stratus software and coil line production beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to sheet metal field personnel.
• Lead installation of commercial HVAC ductwork per plans.
• Interpret drawings, shop drawings, and specifications accurately.
• Coach Foremen, Mechanics, Apprentices, and Helpers on safety and quality.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to plan and priority work.
