Job summary
Mechanical Comfort, Inc. is seeking an experienced commercial sheet metal lead to direct crews, oversee layout through installation, and ensure safety and quality on commercial/industrial HVAC projects.
The role emphasizes leadership, coordination with project managers, and mentorship of apprentices. Qualified candidates will have journey-level sheet metal credentials, robust reading of plans/specifications, and a proven track record in leading field crews.
Qualifications
- Commercial HVAC/sheet-metal installation experience.
- Independent layout and installation capability.
- Experience reading commercial plans/specifications.
- Ability to lead field crews.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong safety and quality orientation.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily field activities for HVAC/sheet-metal crews.
- Layout, fabricate, assemble and install ductwork.
- Install HVAC equipment and sheet-metal systems.
- Read plans and construction documents.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools and priorities.
- Mentor apprentices and maintain safe jobsites.
- Coordinate with project managers and customers.
