Job summary

ProTech Mechanical, a Crete United Company, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead commercial HVAC sheet metal and ductwork installations on large projects. You will supervise crews, plan manpower, and coordinate with BIM and project teams to keep installations on schedule.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong scheduling, and a safety-focused mindset. You’ll mentor foremen and apprentices, read drawings, and ensure quality and compliance across multi-million dollar

Qualifications

• Several years of commercial HVAC sheet metal field experience.
• Proven supervisory experience on large projects ($5–$10M).
• Strong manpower planning, installation sequencing, and scheduling.
• Experience with BIM models and coordination teams.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sheet metal crews and foremen on large commercial projects.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and installation sequences to meet milestones.
• Develop look-ahead schedules with project managers and monitor progress.
• Work with BIM and coordination teams to review layouts and resolve conflicts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and models.
• Coordinate ductwork installation with general contractors and other trades.
• Anticipate field challenges and resolve productivity or schedule issues.
• Track labor performance and communicate staffing needs and changes in scope.
• Ensure installations meet project specs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coach field personnel and develop foremen, installers, and apprentices.
• Maintain accurate field reports and support inspections and project closeout.
