Job summary

ProTech Mechanical, a Crete United Company, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead commercial HVAC sheet metal and ductwork installations on large projects. You will supervise crews, plan manpower and sequences, and ensure work aligns with BIM models and project schedules.

You’ll work closely with project managers to maintain safety, quality, and productivity, coaching foremen and apprentices while delivering on-time installations for projects ranging in the millions.

Qualifications

• Several years of commercial HVAC sheet metal field experience.
• Proven supervisory experience on projects ranging from $5 million to $10 million.
• Experience with BIM coordination and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of ductwork installation, blueprint reading, and SMACNA standards.
• Clear communication and the ability to hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sheet metal crews and foremen on large commercial projects.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and installation sequences to meet project milestones.
• Develop look-ahead schedules with project managers and monitor field progress.
• Work with BIM and coordination teams to review layouts, identify conflicts, and support constructability before installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and coordinated models.
• Coordinate ductwork installation with general contractors and other trades.
• Anticipate field challenges and resolve issues affecting productivity, quality, or schedules.
• Track labor performance and communicate staffing needs, material delays, and changes in scope.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coach field personnel and develop foremen, installers, and apprentices.
• Maintain accurate field reports and support inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.

ProTech Mechanical, a Crete United Company is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead commercial HVAC sheet metal and ductwork installations on projects ranging from $5 million to $10 million.
This role requires a proven field leader with several years of hands‑on experience and a strong background in crew supervision, project planning, BIM coordination, and scheduling. You’ll work closely with project managers and coordination teams to turn project plans into organized field execution, keeping crews productive and installations on schedule.

• Strong knowledge of ductwork installation, blueprint reading, and SMACNA standards.
• Clear communication and the ability to hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Sheet Metal Supervisor, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with duct fabrication, field measurements, and prefabrication planning.
