Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP seeks a Senior SharePoint Online Application Developer to design, build, and support Microsoft 365-based business solutions. You will work with attorneys, admin teams, and IT to translate requirements into governable SharePoint apps, Power Apps, and workflows, while ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, IS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 apps development.
• Deep experience with SharePoint Online architecture, modern sites, metadata, and permissions.
• Proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, connectors, and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of SPFx, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON.
• Experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, SQL Server, Dataverse, and secure integration.
• Proficiency with PowerShell (PnP, Graph PowerShell) for provisioning.
• Microsoft 365 permissions, sensitivity/retention, DLP, auditing, governance concepts.
• Experience modernizing legacy SharePoint and Power Platform apps.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-400, PL-600, MS-600, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Design and build SharePoint Online applications as foundation for business processes.
• Develop Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for intake, approvals, dashboards.
• Create data models balancing SharePoint with Dataverse/SQL Server.
• Build intuitive, responsive forms and UX using SPFx and modern SharePoint pages.
• Automate processes with Power Automate, Graph connectors, and secure identities.
• Integrate with Microsoft 365 services and third-party platforms via REST/MGraph.
• Establish development standards, governance, and documentation; mentor juniors.
• Support platform administration and resolve access/workflow issues.
