Overview
G2 Technology Solutions LLC, a Government Contractor, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior SharePoint Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Independent Enterprise Testing Support Services (IETSS) contract. The Senior SharePoint Developer will design, develop, configure, and maintain secure SharePoint solutions that support collaboration, knowledge management, workflow automation, reporting, and document lifecycle needs for VA stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, business analysts, technical teams, and the VA customer to deliver accessible, supportable solutions within an Agile and DevSecOps environment.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Candidate must be able to:
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions, including modern team sites, communication sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, content types, permissions, and search experiences.
- Develop custom SharePoint components and applications using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Create and maintain business process automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Translate customer requirements into solution designs, user stories, technical specifications, configuration documentation, and release plans.
- Implement document management and records-supporting capabilities, including information architecture, versioning, retention labels, access controls, and audit-ready practices.
- Integrate SharePoint solutions with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, REST APIs, Azure services, SQL Server, and other approved enterprise systems as required.
- Develop and support dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI and SharePoint data sources where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Apply secure coding, privacy, accessibility, Section 508, and VA cybersecurity requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Use source control, automated build and deployment practices, and change-management procedures to promote solutions across development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, sprint planning, demonstrations, and stakeholder meetings; communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly.
Create and maintain user guides, administrator guides, operational procedures, test cases, and technical documentation.
Minimum Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required for VA contract eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Eight years of additional relevant
- Experience may be substituted for education. 7+ years of professional experience developing, administering, or supporting SharePoint solutions, including at least 3 years with SharePoint Online and modern SharePoint development.
- Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Online architecture, site design, permissions, document libraries, lists, metadata, content types, search, and governance.
- Hands-on development experience with SPFx, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph.
- Hands-on experience building workflow and low-code solutions with Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration concepts, including Teams integration, Entra ID identity and group management, and role-based access controls.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.
- Knowledge of secure application development, Section 508 accessibility, and testing practices for web-based applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier II Moderate Risk Background Investigation and VA network access.
Legal authorization to work in the United States. Current Moderate Background Investigation and VA network access.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or another large federal agency.
- Experience with SharePoint migration, including migration from SharePoint Server or legacy collaboration platforms to SharePoint Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, records management, retention policies, eDiscovery, data loss prevention, or information-protection capabilities.
- Experience integrating SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, or enterprise REST APIs.
- Microsoft certification in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, or related technology.
- Experience supporting testing, quality assurance, knowledge management, or enterprise IT service delivery programs.
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple assignments, manage changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work products on schedule.
