Job summary

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District seeks a sub-professional engineer to oversee and participate in the inspection of sewer construction, channel improvements and sewer facilities for the District.

You will review plans and specs, prepare quantities for monthly pay applications, meet with stakeholders, and assist with related field and office duties as directed. A high school diploma and at least four years in construction inspection are required; candidates with broader inspection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four years of construction inspection experience, preferably with sewer, water, channel and sewer facilities.
• Candidates with other types of construction inspection experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sewer and facility projects under District contract.
• Interpret detailed construction plans and specifications.
• Prepare quantities and calculations for monthly pay applications.
• Meet with stakeholders throughout the construction of a project.
• Investigate customer service inquiries.
• May approve minor grade and elevation changes.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Perform related work as delegated by supervisor.
