Job summary

The City of Albuquerque Senior Affairs department seeks an experienced leader to plan, direct, and oversee daily operations across multiple service areas, including recreation, nutrition, and transportation for senior programs.

Responsibilities include developing division goals, aligning with strategic objectives, and evaluating service delivery methods to improve efficiency and participant well-being. Strong managerial and supervisory experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, social services, gerontology, nutrition, or a related field.
• Six (6) years professional management experience in one or more of the following fields: social services and operations; facilities; recreation and/or program implementation.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
• Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, oversee the daily operational responsibility for areas within Senior Affairs program, including development and implementation of division goals and priorities.
• Manage and oversee daily operations for assigned programmatic services including recreation, nutrition, transportation and social services.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business/ public administration/ social services/ gerontology/ nutrition
