Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to end-to-end SPM implementations from requirements through deployment and post-implementation support.
• Configure and support SPM capabilities aligned with portfolio and project-management needs.
• Implement demand, project, portfolio, and resource-management processes.
• Configure resource planning, allocation, capacity planning, and time-card functionality.
• Support APM and PPM capabilities where applicable.
• Align SPM and Enterprise Architecture with business applications and CSDM.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, enterprise architects, admins, and developers to translate needs into ServiceNow solutions.
• Support SPM/EA integrations and testing, including user acceptance and release testing.
• Troubleshoot functional/configuration issues and propose solutions.
• Assist with instance cloning, post-clone validation, and post-upgrade validation.
• Prepare functional specs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and implementation materials.
• Recommend improvements to SPM processes and platform capabilities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Specialist with proven end-to-end implementation experience across portfolio, demand, project, and resource management. The role requires strong functional and technical knowledge of SPM, including APM, PPM, resource planning, time cards, Enterprise Architecture, CSDM, instance cloning, and version upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to end-to-end SPM implementations from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Configure and support SPM capabilities aligned with organizational portfolio and project-management requirements.
• Implement demand, project, portfolio, and resource-management processes.
• Configure resource planning, allocation, capacity planning, and time-card functionality.
• Support APM business applications and portfolios and PPM capabilities where applicable.
• Align SPM and Enterprise Architecture with business applications and CSDM.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, enterprise architects, administrators, and developers to translate business needs into ServiceNow solutions.
• Support SPM/EA integrations and enhancements and participate in functional, integration, user-acceptance, and release testing.
• Troubleshoot functional and configuration issues and recommend solutions.
• Support instance cloning, post-clone validation, version upgrades, migrations, regression testing, and post-upgrade validation.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scenarios, and implementation materials.
• Recommend improvements to SPM processes and platform capabilities.

Qualifications And Success Criteria

ServiceNow SPM implementation or application-specific certifications and CSA are preferred. Enterprise-scale implementation, integration, upgrade, and validation experience are advantageous. Suggested experience: 5-8+ years, with substantial hands‑on SPM implementation experience. The candidate must demonstrate broad, end-to‑end SPM expertise rather than experience limited to one feature, while also supporting cloning and upgrade activities.
