Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a senior ServiceNow Developer to support a Department of War client in the Chantilly, VA area. You will design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow solutions, mentor a team, and ensure platform health within an Agile framework.

Lead integrations and deployments, enforce coding standards, and contribute to architectural roadmaps while delivering secure, scalable workflows and applications for agency-wide use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• Strong experience building and managing complex REST/SOAP API integrations.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM) with advanced scripting.
• Develop and enhance Service Portals using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize performance.
• Architect and securely integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
• Manage deployments with Update Sets, CI/CD, and ServiceNow Application Repository.
• Create technical docs and SOPs; ensure governance, security, and architecture standards.
