Job summary

Akumen, Inc. seeks a seasoned ServiceNow Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain enterprise ServiceNow solutions. You will lead complex projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable workflows, forms, and dashboards.

You will architect integrations via REST and SOAP, implement UI Builder components, and guide upgrades and migrations while ensuring secure, compliant deployments across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and architecture.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow applications (modules, workflows, forms, dashboards).
• Advanced scripting in JavaScript and Glide; experience with client-side and server-side scripting.
• Experience with UI Builder and modern ServiceNow technologies.
• Experience designing integrations via REST/SOAP, web services, OAuth 2.0, API keys.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow modules (CSM, ITSM, ITOM, PSDS, SecOps, GRC).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow applications, including modules, workflows, forms, and dashboards.
• Architect scalable solutions aligned with goals and best practices.
• Develop reusable components and libraries to streamline development.
• Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP, web services, and secure auth.
• Oversee testing strategies: system, regression, and UAT.
• Optimize workflows, scripts, and integrations for performance and reliability.
• Plan upgrades and validate customizations for compatibility with new versions.
• Lead migration efforts for legacy systems.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Develop training materials and mentor junior developers.
