Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in ITSM, CSM, HRSD, Custom Application Development, and enterprise Integrations.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions while providing technical leadership, solution guidance, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong hands-on development experience, stakeholder management capability, and the ability to lead developers in delivering complex ServiceNow engagements.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development and Solution Design

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement projects across ITSM, CSM, and HRSD.
• Build scalable, secure, and reusable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop custom applications using App Engine Studio and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards, governance, and best practices.
• Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, and solution assessments.

Module Expertise

ITSM

• Implement and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, and CMDB solutions.
• Work on Service Portal and Employee Center implementations.
• Integrate ITSM processes with enterprise systems and operational workflows.

CSM

• Design and implement Customer Service Management solutions.
• Configure Case Management, Customer Service Portals, Knowledge Base, Major Issue Management, and SLA Management.
• Automate customer service workflows and improve customer experience.

HRSD

• Implement HR Case Management, Employee Service Center, Lifecycle Events, Knowledge Management, and Employee Journeys.
• Configure HR workflows, HR catalog items, and employee self-service capabilities.

Custom Application Development

• Build custom applications using App Engine and platform-native development capabilities.
• Design custom tables, workflows, forms, UI policies, ACLs, and business rules.
• Develop solutions using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Script Includes, and scoped applications.
• Optimize application performance, maintainability, data integrity, and scalability.

Integration Development

• Design and develop integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, Integration Hub, MID Server, JDBC, Email, and SFTP.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, basic authentication, and certificate-based authentication where applicable.
• Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Azure AD, Workday, SAP, Salesforce, Jira, and monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data mapping issues, payload errors, and performance bottlenecks.

Technical Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions, technical workshops, and design sessions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.
• Estimate development efforts and support sprint planning, release planning, and delivery tracking.
• Drive technical governance, coding standards, peer reviews, and delivery quality.

Platform Administration and Support

• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and performance challenges.
• Support upgrades, patching, cloning, release management, and deployment activities.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, access control, and data integrity.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, solution design documents, and knowledge articles.

Other Details

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
