Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Custom Application Developer to build and maintain complex ServiceNow scoped applications for a regulated financial services environment. The role requires hands-on development, AWS integrations, REST APIs, and AI-assisted tooling, in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Columbia, SC area and other listed locations provide a mix of on-site opportunities with modern enterprise standards. Strong documentation and collaboration skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience building ServiceNow scoped apps
• Hands-on ServiceNow development with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST APIs
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with AWS and external platforms
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing
• Ability to deliver scalable, secure solutions in agile teams
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer is required
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing ServiceNow Scoped Applications and custom solutions.
• Hands-on ServiceNow platform development experience, including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, and REST APIs.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with AWS services and other external platforms.
• Working knowledge of Python for automation, integrations, and data processing.
• Ability to build scalable, maintainable solutions that align with enterprise and security standards.
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery teams.
• Familiarity with AI assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ServiceNow AI tools, or GenAI coding assistants.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or similarly regulated enterprise environments is a plus.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is required.
• AWS experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
