Job summary

e‑STORAGE is seeking a Senior Service Technician to commission SolBank Storage Power Blocks and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment. The role requires extensive travel across the United States and experience with energy storage systems in a service environment.

You will manage LTSA obligations, supervise subcontractors, and support training during commissioning while ensuring safety and warranty compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant service experience, preferably in renewable energy
• OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 10 acceptable if 30 obtained soon after hire)
• Knowledge of inverters, SCADA, and medium‑voltage power systems
• Familiarity with national electrical codes and energy storage system applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• First‑Aid training

Responsibilities

• Commission SolBank Storage Power Blocks
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of SPBs to adhere to warranty requirements
• Manage obligations for LTSA’s for BESS equipment including E Storage Cabinets, PSC, RMUs/Switchgear, Transformers, SCADA and networking devices
• Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands‑on support to meet availability and capacity guarantees
• Oversee and supervise sub‑contractors on site when required
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and processes
• Complete work order documentation in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy of spare parts inventory
• Perform proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and switching procedures as needed
• Support client training during commissioning
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies
• Team up with colleagues and partners to achieve project goals
• Champion standards for quality, safety, and sustainability and contribute improvement ideas

Education
