Job summary

Birge & Held is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain and service our River's Edge I community in Dacula, GA. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.

Report to the Operations Manager and coordinate with the maintenance team to meet response times and turnover targets. The role requires at least two years in apartment maintenance, EPA refrigerant handling certification (or willingness to obtain), and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of demonstrated success in apartment maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• EPA certification required for refrigerant handling, or willingness to obtain certification on hire.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• For roles requiring travel between properties, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and laws including Fair Housing and ADA.
• Inspect buildings and common areas for cleanliness, safety and visual appeal.
• Repair and maintain HVAC units, mechanical/electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and grounds.
• Complete work orders promptly; provide progress updates and coordinate with staff.
• Maintain grounds and assist other assets to meet company goals and operations.
• Complete forms and reports accurately; participate in related responsibilities as assigned.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
