Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring an Experienced Senior Service Technician in Louisiana. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership, rapid results, and a proactive approach to maintaining community standards.

You will oversee repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more, while managing inventory and on-call schedules. Ideal candidates bring one-year certification or 2–4+ years of related experience, possess a valid driver's license, and are prepared to lead by example toward long-term

Qualifications

  • Experience leading and mentoring a maintenance team.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances.
  • Willingness to be on 24-hour on-call for emergencies.
  • Ability to manage inventory and schedules for maintenance materials.
  • Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.

What you will be doing: We are seeking a Senior Service Technician with a “Whatever It Takes” approach to join our team! This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be expected to step in, take ownership, and deliver results right away.

Responsibilities

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the community meet company standards and applicable laws. As the Senior Service Technician, you will:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and completing repairs
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances
  • Be accountable for a 24-hour on-call schedule, including personal availability for emergencies such as snow, ice, or urgent site issues
  • Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials
  • Establish and drive schedules - on-call coverage, preventive maintenance, make-readies, and daily work orders
  • Conduct regular inspections of community buildings and vacant units
  • Execute tasks assigned by the Service Manager with urgency and accountability

What We’ll Expect From You
  • Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Ability to live within a 30-minute commute of the property
  • HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred
  • One-year certificate, 2-4+ years of related experience, or equivalent education
  • Ability to lead, work fast, and operate without constant
