Job summary

Alliance Security is seeking a Senior Service Technician in New York, NY, to install and service CCTV and access control systems. You will coordinate projects, test equipment, troubleshoot networking and firewall issues, and liaise with clients and the Installation Services Manager.

A technical degree and several years in security tech are preferred. You will also handle service activities, document work in CRM, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the security technology industry.
• Strong knowledge of video, access control, intercom, intrusion, and network devices.
• Successfully maintain certification training: AMAG, Genetec, LenelS2, Exacq, Brivo & Eagle Eye.
• Strong networking fundamentals and IT principles.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and overtime.
• OSHA 40 Required.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a company-provided vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install or service security systems, including CCTV and access control.

• Troubleshoot low-voltage continuity issues.
• Resolve firewall configurations and networking issues.
• Manage communications with team and management; process work orders and planning.
• Recommend enhancements for security systems.

Alliance Security is a New York Tri-State leader providing Engineering, Installation and Service/Repair of high-end security systems and solutions for a premier portfolio of clientele. Alliance Security is currently looking to fill the position of Senior Service Technician. The role will perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities which consist of coordinating, planning, and installing video surveillance technologies - CCTV, and access control security technologies. This position will report to the Manager of Installation Services - Alliance Security.

Responsibilities

• Install or service new and existing security systems, including Web-Based and Cloud-Based Security and CCTV Systems
• Test, adjust, and troubleshoot security systems and related equipment/hardware
• Ability to test and troubleshoot low-voltage continuity issues
• Resolve Firewall Configurations/Networking System Developments
• Handle various emails, phone calls from other team members and the management team, work orders, paperwork, and perform job planning activities
• Make recommendations for security system enhancements
• Act as liaison between client and Manager of Installation Services
• Assist the service department as needed
• Excellent Customer Service and Time Management Skills
• Update and manage CRM software to document installation/service activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Technical Degree preferred
• Minimum of two (3) years' experience in the security technology industry
• Strong knowledge of security concepts and technology platforms; Video, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, Visitor Management, turnstiles, and network devices
• Successfully maintain certification training; AMAG, Genetec, LenelS2, Exacq, Brivo & Eagle Eye
• Strong fundamentals of networking technologies and Information Technology principles
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and overtime
• OSHA 40 Required
• Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a company-provided commercial vehicle. Will maintain vehicle at residence and commute to/from job locations
