Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. in Irvine, CA, seeks a Senior Service Planning Manager to drive new business models and grow digital product adoption in the residential renewables market.

You’ll collaborate with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Energy Service, Digital Products, and Finance, reporting to the Director of Platform Business. The role is based in Irvine with in-office scheduling at the manager’s discretion; exceptional cases may allow remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IS/Engineering/Business or related majors, with 7+ years in sales channel management.
• Sales channel management experience driving revenue growth.
• Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, Creatio) and proposal tools.
• Ability to lead projects and build business cases.
• Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Service Planning Manager will support the expansion of new business opportunities, focusing on developing new business models, particularly for platform business, by increasing the adoption rate of digital products. Candidates will collaborate with senior management as well as functional experts from Sales and marketing, Energy Service, Digital Products, and Finance at all levels.

This position will play an important role in the growth of our business, especially in the residential renewable energy market. This position reports to the Director of Platform Business or other senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Internal/external sales channel/partnership development that can support sales channel expansion of digital products (platform, solution, module level) based on understanding of workflow and business complexity of industry.
2. Plan sales and marketing activities for a strong brand identity by working with Marketing and Sales teams to launch new initiatives and enhance our delivery of communications into the market.
3. Train and support by providing resources, tools, and training to channel partners to maximize sales potential.
4. Support on digital product commercialization in service, building service and pricing policy and enhancement of product in terms of customer (partners, sales, and installers, etc.) engagement.
5. Implement customer education programs to maximize product usage.
6. Deliver outputs in documented format.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Social Science or related majors and minimum of 7+ years of work experience (or equivalent combination of education) in sales channel management, planning or related roles.
2. Sales expertise by understanding sales channels and dynamics to drive revenue growth.
3. Technical proficiency in familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Creatio) and proposal solutions like Aurora, Solo, and Solargraf.
4. Understanding of the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs and Leading projects/programs.
5. Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrates innovation and excellence and to develop business cases.
6. Ability to lead and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
7. Experience with research methodologies and with analytical tools.
8. Strong sense of ownership on assigned tasks.
9. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, either nationally or internationally.
10. At least professional-level verbal and writing English skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong analytical skills (structured and data-driven approach).
2. Strong understanding of renewable energy and solar industry.
3. Sales/Consulting experience preferred.
4. Master’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related majors.
