Job summary

The Post Oak in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced General Manager for a high-volume, full-service dining operation. You will lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams, manage schedules, control costs, and uphold brand standards to drive guest satisfaction and profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of senior management in full-service restaurants, strong financial acumen, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of senior level management experience in a full-service, high-volume dining establishment.
• Extensive front of house knowledge; Advanced knowledge of financial aspects.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs across food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
• Assist the General Manager in ensuring financial (invoices, reporting) and payroll-related duties are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Ensure positive guest service and resolve complaints to turn guests into return customers.
• Manage shifts, scheduling, and planning while ensuring high quality of food and service.
• Provide direction and develop employees through feedback and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
• Assist the General Manager in ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
• Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Investigate and respond to complaints, taking all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
• Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service
• Provide direction to employees regarding operations and procedural issues while developing employees by providing ongoing feedback, establish performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
