Acara Solutions has been providing semiconductor and other advanced manufacturing firms across the U.S. with engineering and professional staffing services for over 60 years. Our client, specializing in semiconductor lithography machines, is seeking a Track (coater/developer) TEL/DNS field service engineer to join their organization as a direct salaried employee.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working on Semiconductor Lithography Canon Steppers.
- Location flexibility: ideally based in San Jose, CA, but remote work from anywhere in the U.S. is acceptable, with extensive travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform and support customer equipment service projects, ensuring timely repairs and maintaining high quality standards.
- Interface with customers and service department managers regularly.
- Provide onsite service support and expertise in diagnosing, analyzing, installing, servicing, and maintaining Canon photolithography equipment (steppers and scanners).
- Support and train junior technicians and provide technical support via onsite and phone interactions.
- Maintain service tooling and testing equipment in optimal condition.
- Share professional skills with team members and develop service procedures.
- Stay updated on technical trends and advancements in the semiconductor industry.
- Maintain a professional interface with customers, resolving problems proactively.
- Consult with customers on equipment needs, upgrades, and spare parts.
- Ensure accurate and complete field reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Job Requirements
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or significant experience with Canon steppers.
- Minimum 4 years of post-related work experience in installation and servicing of Canon steppers and/or scanners.
- Proficiency in PC use and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lead equipment installation and repair projects.
- Knowledge to identify operational and personnel issues and solve problems effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools, electronic tools, gauges, and equipment.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
