Job description

Sartorius is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join the Lab Products & Services team supporting the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will reside in the Bay Area, CA.

What you will accomplish:

  1. Provide exceptional customer care and build positive relationships.
  2. Offer technical support during issues.
  3. Coordinate workflow to minimize travel, and travel to customer sites by ground, train, or air as needed.
  4. Train customers on Bio Analytics instruments.
  5. Perform field service, calibration, installation, preventative maintenance, and sterilizations of mechanical systems.
  6. Assist with resolving IT issues related to system installations and perform software updates/upgrades.
  7. Draft documentation of processes and procedures.
  8. Maintain accurate records of parts and service activities.
  9. Produce detailed service reports and customer estimates.
  10. Identify and pass on sales leads to the sales manager.
  11. Regularly lift items weighing up to 35 Kg.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
What will convince us:
  1. Associates degree or certifications in engineering, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  2. 3+ years of field service experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Ability to travel within the Bay Area and occasionally overnight outside the territory.
  4. Strong troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing skills in mechanical, electrical, and IT areas.
  5. Valid Driver's License.

Compensation:

Base salary between $85,000 and $100,000, plus annual bonus and car allowance, depending on experience and qualifications.
