Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer II in Cupertino to lead the design and development of server products with a broad set of design and manufacturing partners. Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Experience in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience.
• Experience in oral and written communication.
• 5+ years experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in the product development and manufacturing processes.
• In depth expertise in one or more server technologies such as Thermal / Mechanical design, high speed bus design and signal integrity, failure analysis, server components (e.g. CPU, GPU, SSDs, drives), BIOS, BMC, and networking

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of server products with diverse design and manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with customers to understand technical needs and business goals.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to bring servers to data centers and oversee fleet performance after launch.
