Job summary

PHM is seeking an SEO Account Associate Director in Chicago to lead a team of SEO specialists, align client goals with strategic roadmaps, and drive performance across multiple brands. You will manage client relationships, advocate for best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven optimization programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, advanced SEO expertise, and the ability to scale processes across large accounts within a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct SEO experience
• Enterprise client management experience
• Experience leading a team of 4+ individuals

Responsibilities

• Point of escalation across assigned brands, solving client needs and site performance challenges
• Build trusting relationships with client, partner agency, and internal teams as strategic SEO expert
• Educate on SEO fundamentals and its role in the marketing mix
• Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and accountability for the team’s work
• Identify knowledge gaps and create resources to drive workflow efficiency and quality
• Foster transparency, camaraderie and achievement within the team
• Monitor performance across accounts and sites, promote best practices
• Collaborate cross-department to craft holistic optimization plans and reports
• Contribute to business scoping, tracking, and resource management
• Lead annual reviews and 1:1s with Associates and Supervisors
• Lead cross-agency collaboration and workflow processes with partners
• Document case studies and standard methodologies to advance SEO goals
