Job summary

Merkle is seeking a Manager, SEO & AI Discovery in Chicago to lead SEO strategy across client accounts, owning audits and recommendations that tie to business outcomes. You will connect technical SEO with content and AI-driven discovery, while advising clients on what to do next.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor others, manage end-to-end delivery, and help shape the SEO practice with scalable processes and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive SEO experience, preferably in an agency or multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong technical SEO capability across crawl, indexation, rendering, and site architecture.
• Experience with SEO analysis and measurement using multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEO strategy across assigned accounts and connect recommendations to business goals.
• Own complex audits across technical SEO, AI discovery, and on-page optimization.
• Develop measurement frameworks linking organic visibility to business outcomes.
• Turn data into decisions using GSC, GA4, crawlers, and rank-tracking tools.
• Create actionable recommendations with clear impact and effort.
