Job summary

Venn is hiring its first dedicated in‑house SEO/AEO hire. You’ll own organic search end‑to‑end and shape the strategy from the ground up, becoming Venn's central owner for technical execution, content direction, AI search optimization, and the link between organic performance and revenue.

Report into marketing but work closely with sales and the BDR team, using customer calls and feedback to sharpen how Venn's ideal customer profile shows up in keyword targeting and content strategy.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years hands-on SEO experience, in‑house, agency, or both.
• Real, hands‑on WordPress experience — fix issues directly.
• Strong technical SEO grounding — crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data.
• Genuine curiosity about AI search and AEO, with a forward view.
• Comfort owning a function end‑to‑end, self‑directed workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO fixes in WordPress — indexing, crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and schema.
• Run technical audits and lead migrations, redesigns, or international SEO work as the footprint grows.
• Build SEO and AEO strategy from scratch — keyword architecture, content priorities, and a roadmap tied to pipeline.
• Track appearances in AI Overviews and AI‑driven search surfaces, adjust content and data for citations.
• Partner with Sales/BDR to translate user feedback into keyword targets and page messaging.
• Own and manage SEO tool stack — Ahrefs or Semrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog.
• Report on organic performance in terms leadership and pipeline impact.

You'll own organic search end‑to‑end and build the strategy from the ground up, becoming Venn's central point of ownership for everything SEO: technical execution, content direction, AI search optimization, and the link between organic performance and revenue. Nobody else at Venn owns this today, which means the roadmap, the priorities, and the results are yours to define. You'll report into marketing but work closely with sales and the BDR team, using customer calls and feedback to sharpen how Venn's ideal customer profile shows up in keyword targeting and content strategy. This is a senior, largely self‑directed role.

What You'll Do

• Own technical SEO fixes directly in WordPress — indexing, crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and schema
• Run technical audits and lead migrations, redesigns, or international SEO work as Venn's footprint grows
• Build Venn's SEO and AEO strategy from scratch — keyword architecture, content priorities, and a roadmap tied to pipeline, not just traffic
• Track how Venn shows up in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other AI‑driven search surfaces, and adjust content, crawlability, and structured data to earn citations there
• Partner with the BDR team and sales to turn customer calls and feedback into keyword targets, content angles, and page‑level messaging
• Own and manage Venn's SEO tool stack — Ahrefs or Semrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog
• Report on organic performance in terms leadership and sales actually care about — pipeline influence, not just rankings and traffic

What You Bring

• 4-5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, in‑house, agency, or both — you've been accountable for results, not just recommendations
• Real, hands‑on WordPress experience — you can go in and fix a technical issue yourself rather than describing it to someone else
• Strong technical SEO grounding — crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site architecture
• Genuine curiosity about AI search and AEO, with a point of view on where it's going, not just familiarity with the term
• Comfort owning a function end‑to‑end, with a self‑directed way of working — Venn runs on outcomes, not oversight
• Confidence working cross‑functionally with sales and BDRs, and comfort digging through customer calls for insight
• Clear communication skills — you can translate SEO logic into business terms
