Job summary

Sensient Colors in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Sensory Manager to lead the sensory program across raw materials, in-process materials, finished products and customer samples.

You will provide technical leadership for sensory testing and act as a key resource for Quality, Applications, Manufacturing and other cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing sensory standards, overseeing panels, applying statistical analysis, and communicating insights to drive product quality and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Sensory Science or related field with emphasis in sensory.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sensory science.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing sensory programs and consumer research.
• Experience with statistical analysis and design of experiments.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Sensory team to deliver sensory insights and support business growth.
• Define priorities and manage projects using ASTM sensory protocols and best practices.
• Implement latest sensory methodologies including statistical analysis and panel supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence decisions and meet objectives.
• Present sensory results to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Promote Sensient sensory capabilities to customers and be active in professional bodies.
