Job summary

IT Resource Hunter in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to support customer sites with engineering and technical activities, coordinating with R&D for new products.

The role involves installations, upgrades, reports, and training, along with ensuring compliance with safety and process guidelines. A strong mechanical/electrical background and cleanroom experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant field service experience
• Ability to perform manual and physical labor in cleanroom environment
• Experience with semiconductor metrology equipment and cleanroom preferred

Responsibilities

• Support client and end-user service under warranty and service agreements
• Maintain reporting methods for customer support activities
• Assist in new equipment installations, add-ons, and upgrades
• Produce regular reports to customer and management
• Provide customer training and retraining
• Ensure adequate know-how among customer users
• Manage client parts inventory at locations assigned
• Assist in setting spare parts to maintain proper stock levels
• Repair parts and components per service policy
• Verify spare systems are stored properly and available
• Provide sales support and sales related information
• Collaborate with sales and customer on-site evaluations
• Be familiar with customer operating methods, procedures, and policy
• Adhere to customer site policies on safety, performance, behavior
• Maintain customer information confidentiality
• Provide customer support during working schedule as defined by contract
• Be prepared to support beyond defined hours as required
