Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior Semantic Data Engineer to drive semantic data products across the enterprise. You will design, implement, and validate semantic models and data contracts, enabling AI-powered data access and decisions.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, domain experts, and technical teams to deliver scalable data solutions using Snowflake Cortex and related AI-enabled tools. This role is based in the US with multiple locations including Phoenix.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, analytics engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience designing conceptual to dimensional data models and production data products.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience delivering Snowflake-based data products.
• Experience with semantic layers and metadata for AI-enabled data access.
• Experience with version control, automated testing, deployment, and change management.
• Practical use of AI tools with validated outputs.
• Strong communication with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver trusted Snowflake data products for business domains, with certified dimensional structures.
• Build and maintain semantic layer with concepts, rules, measures across analytics and AI.
• Implement semantic data products using Snowflake Cortex views and Cortex Agents.
• Validate semantic data products for accuracy, quality, usability, performance, security.
• Develop and maintain verified queries, regression tests; improve AI outputs when needed.
• Capture definitions, mappings, ownership, lineage in machine-readable formats and publish to data catalog.
• Lead complex semantic-modeling initiatives from discovery to deployment with cross-functional partners.
