Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior Semantic Data Engineer to join the Data Solutions team in San Francisco. You will help create a shared enterprise understanding of business concepts, relationships, rules, and measures so data can be interpreted consistently across applications and AI systems.

You will carry solutions from discovery through production, partnering with business owners, domain experts, and technical teams to improve decision confidence and scale automation.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, analytics engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data models.
• Advanced SQL skills and production data-products design in Snowflake.
• Experience with semantic layers and metadata for AI/copilots.
• Experience with source control, automated testing, and deployment.
• Practical experience using approved AI tools with validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver trusted Snowflake data products for business domains.
• Build semantic layer with shared concepts, rules, and measures.
• Implement semantic data products using Snowflake Cortex and Cortex tools.
• Validate data products for accuracy, quality, usability, and security.
• Develop validated queries, regression tests, and AI output improvements.
• Publish content to enterprise data catalog via automated processes.
• Lead complex semantic-modeling initiatives across teams and regions.
