Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior Semantic Data Engineer to design semantic data products and lead complex modeling initiatives across the enterprise. You’ll partner with business owners and technical teams to translate concepts into robust data contracts and trusted insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, analytics engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data models and translating business concepts into production data products.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience delivering production data products in Snowflake.
• Experience with semantic layers and metadata for AI-enabled data access and enterprise search.
• Experience with source control, testing, deployment, and change management.
• Practical experience using AI tools in analysis, engineering, or documentation, with validated outputs.
• Strong communication with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver trusted, reusable Snowflake data products for business domains.
• Build and maintain the semantic layer with shared concepts, relationships, rules, and measures.
• Implement semantic data products using Snowflake Cortex views and Cortex Agents.
• Validate semantic data products for accuracy, quality, usability, and security.
• Develop and maintain verified queries, expected results, and regression tests; improve data and models as needed.
• Publish definitions, mappings, and lineage to the enterprise data catalog.
• Lead semantic-modeling initiatives from discovery to deployment with business partners.
