Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Senior Semantic Data Engineer to lead semantic modeling and data product delivery. You will translate business concepts into production data products, build a company-wide semantic layer, and enable AI-driven insights across domains.

This role requires collaboration with business owners and technical teams. You will design and maintain robust data contracts, ensure data quality and security, and drive continuous improvement of semantic models while leveraging Snowflake

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, analytics engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data models.
• Advanced SQL skills and Snowflake production data products experience.
• Experience with semantic layers and governance of data assets.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver trusted Snowflake data products for business domains.
• Build the semantic layer with defined concepts, relationships, rules, and measures.
• Implement semantic data products using Snowflake Cortex semantic views and Cortex Agents.
• Validate semantic data products for accuracy, quality, usability, and security.
• Capture definitions, mappings, lineage, and guidance in machine-readable formats and publish to data catalog.
