Amentum is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our Oak Ridge, TN team. The role focuses on developing 2D and 3D structural drawings and construction documents for seismic design on projects across the United States.

Travel to support the Oak Ridge office will be required, with remote/hybrid options available. Ideal candidates have 15+ years in industrial, commercial, or nuclear projects, proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD/MicroStation, and experience with ISO 9000 or NQA-1 quality systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or nuclear projects with heavy seismic exposure.
• Ability to produce 2D and 3D structural drawings, models and construction documents with minimal supervision.
• Experience with quality procedures and ensuring procedural compliance.
• Experience in a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1.
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
• Competence with Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to learn new software as necessary for project success.

Responsibilities

• Design projects and develop drawings and construction documents for steel, concrete and masonry structures with seismic emphasis.
• Support Oak Ridge, TN office with travel as needed.
• Produce and manage 2D/3D drawings and models for construction.
• Follow established quality procedures and ensure compliance.
