Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in the United States seeks an experienced Assistant Segment Controller to lead controllership, cost accounting, and financial insights across Hubbell Utility Solutions. Based in proximity to multiple U.S.

sites, you will drive monthly closings, standard cost rolls, and inventory controls while partnering with FP&A and operations to support strategic decisions. The role demands 10+ years in manufacturing cost accounting and controllership, strong leadership, and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required or preferred with professional certification.
• 10+ years of progressive cost accounting and controllership experience in manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel 25-30%.
• Experience with SAP, OneStream and Blackline is preferred.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting per U.S. GAAP and Hubbell policies.
• Lead the annual standard cost roll and monitor manufacturing variable costs.
• Analyze monthly manufacturing variances and drivers to inform growth.
• Develop and refine reporting tools to improve data visibility and decisions.
• Oversee equipment capitalization, depreciation, and impairments.
• Coordinate with international teams to align with domestic initiatives.
• Maintain SOX controls and strengthen internal control environment.
• Lead and develop local cost accounting teams; handle special projects.
