Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to join our Allegiant Seed team. This remote role supports seed operations and logistics, with a preference for candidates within ~50 miles of Inver Grove Heights, MN for occasional in-person collaboration.

You will coordinate shipments, manage freight, negotiate with carriers, and collaborate across order tracking, sales, and inventory systems to meet delivery goals. Strong communication and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan with seed production managers for timely supply, shipment scheduling, and communicating deliveries with customers.
• Load creation and monitoring seed shipments in seed logistics tracking systems; resolve trucking delays or issues with customers and suppliers.
• Manage freight negotiations and daily logistical activities; expedite transportation of products and troubleshoot as needed.
• Establish routing and dispatch execution; optimize routes and minimize empty miles and costs.
• Maintain excellent customer service by supporting business units across order tracking, sales, logistics and inventory systems.
• Develop and maintain strategic carrier relationships to manage logistics costs.
