Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead sediment remediation projects for Federal and Public sector clients. You will work independently and mentor a team of engineers and scientists on complex sites.

The role requires applying principles of sediment transport, environmental site assessment, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remedial design, with travel up to 10% and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation solutions.
• Lead a team of engineers/scientists on sediment remediation projects.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data.
• Act as task manager on sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
