Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer in the United States. You will lead projects evaluating remediation technologies for riverine, coastal, and port settings, and coordinate with clients and experts to deliver robust designs.

Ideal candidates have a PE license and at least 7 years of related experience, with travel as needed. You will mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with CERCLA, GLCA/GLLA regulations while delivering world-class solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 7 years of related experience
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port sites with multiple stakeholders.
• Understand sediment transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, and remedial action design.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager on components of complex sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to the client.
• Lead staff in preparing/reviewing technical information to ensure regulatory compliance.
