Job summary

Backblaze is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager for Security. This remote-US role leads enterprise security programs, coordinating across engineering, product, legal, and third-party vendors to deliver controls on schedule.

You will drive intake and remediation of findings, support incident response, and continuously improve governance frameworks. A strong track record in security program management and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field; Master’s a plus.
• 8+ years in technical program management with 3+ years in security-focused programs.
• Knowledge of security domains and regulatory frameworks; relevant certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of enterprise security programs.
• Communicate security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain program plans, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks; escalate blockers with options.
• Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, product, legal, and vendors.
• Report on goals and dashboards for executives and board audiences.
• Manage intake of security findings and remediation efforts.
• Support incident response coordination and post-incident reviews.
• Improve security program management processes and governance.
