Job summary

Network Cabling Services (NCS) is seeking a Lead Security Technician to oversee installation and execution of security system projects. The role involves leading field operations, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high standards.

The Lead Security Technician will plan, guide crews, and coordinate with GCs, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards while delivering zero-defect results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in security system installation and leadership roles.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support small project teams (2–4 technicians) or phases of larger projects.
• Coordinate daily field activities to ensure productivity and quality standards.
• Conduct site walks, construction meetings, and coordinate with GCs and stakeholders.
• Maintain site safety compliance, PPE requirements, and overall job site organization.
• Prepare and manage: material pick tickets; daily progress reports; redline drawings and labeling; punch lists and project closeout documentation.
• Program and troubleshoot access control and camera systems; test and commission to meet project specifications.
