About the Role

We’re hiring aSenior Security Systems Engineerto lead the design, implementation, and support of commercial access control, IP video, and intrusion alarm systems — all from a remote-first position. You’ll collaborate with on-site engineers and oversee projects end-to-end, taking ownership of scopes, technical design, and troubleshooting with limited oversight.

You must be based inSW Floridafor occasional in-person meetings or training with leadership. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced technician who wants to stay hands-on while evolving into a remote leadership and support role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of enterprise security systems (Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion, Video Analytics).
• Provideremote project leadership, scoping, troubleshooting, and design support for field technicians.
• Select and specify the properlocking hardware(Von Duprin, ASSA ABLOY, Adams Rite, etc.) for various door types and site conditions.
• Review cabling requirements and provide remote guidance for proper routing, termination, and testing.
• Program, configure, and remotely support IP-based video and access control systems.
• Act as project lead for installation and service — managing scope, timelines, and tech team coordination.
• Maintain project documentation and participate in technical calls with clients and partners.
• Troubleshoot systems remotely and assist in resolving network, software, or hardware-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experienceinstalling and programming commercialaccess control,IP video, andintrusion detectionsystems.
• 3+ years’ experienceleading projects with full technical oversight and team supervision.
• Strong technical understanding ofPoE networks,low-voltage cabling, andIP-based security infrastructure.
• Proven experience selecting and deployingdoor hardwarein commercial settings.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for remote coordination and customer interactions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex security and IT-related issues independently.
• Based inSouthwest Florida(Tampa to Fort Myers) — required for occasional local meetings/training.
• Bonus points for certifications in one or more platforms:Genetec, Lenel, Verkada, Openpath, Axis, Rhombus, Milestone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,153.00 - $92,440.00 per year
